I always compare travel insurance no matter where I travel.  Buying cheap travel insurance may be better than having no travel insurance at all but it may not protect you if your policy has only basic coverage.  If you are planning an adventure holiday you need to compare the travel insurance policies.  If you are planning on mountain climbing and something unf ortunate happens to you a cheap standard travel insurance policy will not cover your extra expenses.  I would compare cheap travel insurance policies because you may be able to add a rider on the policy if one is available.
